여호수아 2:1-7

1. 눈의 아들 여호수아가 싯딤에서 두 사람을 정탐꾼으로 보내며 이르되 가서 그 땅과 여리고를 엿보라 하매 그들이 가서 라합이라 하는 기생의 집에 들어가 거기서 유숙하더니2. 어떤 사람이 여리고 왕에게 말하여 이르되 보소서 이 밤에 이스라엘 자손 중의 몇 사람이 이 땅을 정탐하러 이리로 들어왔나이다3. 여리고 왕이 라합에게 사람을 보내어 이르되 네게로 와서 네 집에 들어간 그 사람들을 끌어내라 그들은 이 온 땅을 정탐하러 왔느니라4. 그 여인이 그 두 사람을 이미 숨긴지라 이르되 과연 그 사람들이 내게 왔었으나 그들이 어디에서 왔는지 나는 알지 못하였고5. 그 사람들이 어두워 성문을 닫을 때쯤 되어 나갔으니 어디로 갔는지 내가 알지 못하나 급히 따라가라 그리하면 그들을 따라잡으리라 하였으나6. 그가 이미 그들을 이끌고 지붕에 올라가서 그 지붕에 벌여 놓은 삼대에 숨겼더라7. 그 사람들은 요단 나루터까지 그들을 쫓아갔고 그들을 뒤쫓는 자들이 나가자 곧 성문을 닫았더라

1. 눈의 아들 여호수아는 싯딤에서 두 정탐꾼을 은밀히 보내며 말했습니다. “가서 그 땅을 살펴보고 와라. 특히 여리고를 눈여겨보아라.” 그리하여 두 정탐꾼이 가서 라합이라는 창녀의 집에 들어가 거기 묵게 됐습니다.2. 그런데 여리고 왕에게 이런 말이 들려왔습니다. “보십시오! 이스라엘 자손 몇 사람이 이 땅을 몰래 샅샅이 살피러 오늘 밤 여기에 왔습니다.”3. 그러자 여리고 왕은 라합에게 전갈을 보냈습니다. “네게 온, 네 집에 들어온 사람들을 끌어내어라. 그들이 이 땅을 몰래 살피러 왔기 때문이다.”4. 그러나 그 여자는 그 두 사람을 벌써 숨겨 놓고는 말했습니다. “그렇습니다. 그 사람들이 내게 왔습니다만 그들이 어디에서 왔는지 몰랐습니다.5. 그리고 날이 어두워져 성문을 닫을 때 그 사람들은 집을 떠났습니다. 그들이 어느 방향으로 갔는지 난 모릅니다. 그러므로 어서 그들을 추격해 보십시오. 그러면 그들을 따라잡을 수 있을지도 모릅니다.”6. 그러나 사실 라합은 정탐꾼들을 지붕 위로 데려다가 지붕 위에 널어놓은 아마 줄기 밑에 숨겼습니다.7. 그리하여 그 사람들은 요단 강 나루로 통하는 길을 따라 정탐꾼들을 추격했습니다. 정탐꾼들을 쫓아 추격하던 사람들이 나가자마자 성문이 닫혔습니다.

1. Then Joshua the son of Nun sent two men as spies secretly from Shittim, saying, "Go, view the land, especially Jericho." So they went and came into the house of a harlot whose name was Rahab, and lodged there.2. And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, "Behold, men from the sons of Israel have come here tonight to search out the land."3. And the king of Jericho sent [word] to Rahab, saying, "Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for they have come to search out all the land."4. But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them, and she said, " Yes, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.5. "And it came about when [it was time] to shut the gate, at dark, that the men went out; I do not know where the men went. Pursue them quickly, for you will overtake them."6. But she had brought them up to the roof and hidden them in the stalks of flax which she had laid in order on the roof.7. So the men pursued them on the road to the Jordan to the fords; and as soon as those who were pursuing them had gone out, they shut the gate.

위태로워보이는 정탐꾼들도 

실은 하나님의 섬세한 인도하심 가운데 있었습니다. 

그러한 하나님의 인도하심을 묵상합니다. 

내 삶도 때로는 하나님의 인도하심이 계신가 싶을 정도로 다급합니다.

계획들은 망쳐진 것 같고, 적들에게 들킨 것 같습니다.

여리고의 왕이 눈에 불을 켜고 나를 찾아, 

나는 라합의 지붕 위에 숨어있는 여호수아의 정탐꾼 같을 때가 많습니다. 

하나님이 주신다고 하신 땅.

또한 하나님이 보내신 땅에 있지만

그 걸음걸음이 쉽지 않고 때로는 죽음이 코앞까지 다가옵니다.

왜일까요?

왜 단순히 주신 그 땅에 쳐들어가 승리만을 외치지 못하는 것일까요?

하나님은 왜 그런 시련을 허락하시는 걸까요?

주님, 오늘 하루를 올려드립니다. 

찬양으로 시작된 오늘 하루, 하나님의 인도하심을 의탁합니다.

내가 적진의 한 가운데, 한 기생의 지붕위에 숨어있는 나약한 정탐꾼 같을지라도

크나큰 장수이기 보다는, 약하기 그지없는 작은자 같을지라도

하나님이 허락하신 교육과 선교의 땅을 조금씩 정탐하고 있습니다. 

내게 하나님의 동행하심과 인도하심에 있다는 믿음을 허락하시고

의심하지 않고, 주만 의지하며 나아가게 하소서.

한마디 한마디 써내려가는 페이퍼 가운데 하나님의 인도하심을 허락하시고 

주님의 가치들이 담겨진 연구를 하는 자가 되게 하소서.
