출애굽기 34:1-9

1.	여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 돌판 둘을 처음 것과 같이 다듬어 만들라 네가 깨뜨린 처음 판에 있던 말을 내가 그 판에 쓰리니

2.	아침까지 준비하고 아침에 시내 산에 올라와 산 꼭대기에서 내게 보이되

3.	아무도 너와 함께 오르지 말며 온 산에 아무도 나타나지 못하게 하고 양과 소도 산 앞에서 먹지 못하게 하라

4.	모세가 돌판 둘을 처음 것과 같이 깎아 만들고 아침에 일찍이 일어나 그 두 돌판을 손에 들고 여호와의 명령대로 시내 산에 올라가니

5.	여호와께서 구름 가운데에 강림하사 그와 함께 거기 서서 여호와의 이름을 선포하실새

6.	여호와께서 그의 앞으로 지나시며 선포하시되 여호와라 여호와라 자비롭고 은혜롭고 노하기를 더디하고 인자와 진실이 많은 하나님이라

7.	인자를 천대까지 베풀며 악과 과실과 죄를 용서하리라 그러나 벌을 면제하지는 아니하고 아버지의 악행을 자손 삼사 대까지 보응하리라

8.	모세가 급히 땅에 엎드려 경배하며

9.	이르되 주여 내가 주께 은총을 입었거든 원하건대 주는 우리와 동행하옵소서 이는 목이 뻣뻣한 백성이니이다 우리의 악과 죄를 사하시고 우리를 주의 기업으로 삼으소서

1.	Now the LORD said to Moses, "Cut out for yourself two stone tablets like the former ones, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered.

2.	"So be ready by morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me on the top of the mountain.

3.	"And no man is to come up with you, nor let any man be seen anywhere on the mountain; even the flocks and the herds may not graze in front of that mountain."

4.	So he cut out two stone tablets like the former ones, and Moses rose up early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and he took two stone tablets in his hand.

5.	And the LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the LORD.

6.	Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;

7.	who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave [the guilty] unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations. "

8.	And Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship.

9.	And he said, "If now I have found favor in Thy sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate; and do Thou pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Thine own possession."

#1. Character of God, the God I want to imitate

: compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and truth

: keeps lovingkindness for thousands, forgive iniquity, transgression, and sin

: but punishes, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations

#2. The model of worship

Moses

: bow down low toward the earth

: confessed his sin - obstinate character

: asked for grace 

God

: His character was proclaimed

: asked people to come near to God

: descended, stood there with Moses, called upon the name of Lord, passed by in front of Moses, proclaimed God's character

우리의 예배도 이래야 하지 않을까? 

우리는 낮게 하나님을 경배하고, 죄를 고백하며, 은혜를 구하고

하나님의 임재하심과, 함께 서계심, 우리 사이를 다니시며 그 이름을 선포하심과 그 성품의 선포하심이 이루어지는 

하나님을 마주대하는 이런 모습이 되어야 하지 않을까. 

#3. What Moses asked for?

: Let the Lord go along in our midst 우리와 동행하소서 

: forgive our iniquity and sin 우리의 악과 죄를 용서하소서

: take us as Thine own possession 주의 기업으로 삼으소서 

- 하나님을 마주대한 모세가 구한 것이 이러한 것들이다. 

하나님의 마음으로 이스라엘을 위해 중보하는 모세가 이러한 마음을 가지고 있다. 

나는 무엇을 구하고 있는가? 

주여, 나와 동행하소서. 나의 악과 죄를 용서하소서, 나를 주의 소유, 주의 기업으로 삼으소서. 

또한 우리 교회 가운데 동행하소서, 우리 교회의 죄악을 용서하소서, 우리 교회를 주님의 소유, 기업으로 삼으소서.

우리 사랑방가운데 동행하소서. 우리 사랑방의 죄악을 용서하소서. 우리 사랑방을 주님의 소유와 기업으로 삼으소서. 

한국 사회와 교회 가운데 동행하소서. 한국 사회와 교회의 죄악을 용서하소서. 한국 사회와 교회를 주님의 소유, 기업으로 삼으소서. 

그것이 나의 구함이길 소망한다. 

다른 어떤 것- 화려하거나 풍족한 가나안 땅을 구하는 것이 아니라, 

내가 그 땅- my next step 에 하나님과 함께 가고, 그 가운데 거룩하게 가며, 주님의 소유된 백성으로 가도록 기도한다. 

예수님 이름으로 기도합니다.
