[종에 관한 법] 1. 네가 백성 앞에 세울 법규는 이러하니라 2. ○네가 히브리 종을 사면 그는 여섯 해 동안 섬길 것이요 일곱째 해에는 몸값을 물지 않고 나가 자유인이 될 것이며 3. 만일 그가 단신으로 왔으면 단신으로 나갈 것이요 장가 들었으면 그의 아내도 그와 함께 나가려니와 4. 만일 상전이 그에게 아내를 주어 그의 아내가 아들이나 딸을 낳았으면 그의 아내와 그의 자식들은 상전에게 속할 것이요 그는 단신으로 나갈 것이로되 5. 만일 종이 분명히 말하기를 내가 상전과 내 처자를 사랑하니 나가서 자유인이 되지 않겠노라 하면 6. 상전이 그를 데리고 재판장에게로 갈 것이요 또 그를 문이나 문설주 앞으로 데리고 가서 그것에다가 송곳으로 그의 귀를 뚫을 것이라 그는 종신토록 그 상전을 섬기리라	[종에 관한 법을 주심] 1. “이것은 네가 백성들 앞에 두어야 할 율례들이다. 2. 만약 네가 히브리 종을 사면 그는 6년 동안 너를 섬겨야 한다. 그러나 7년째에는 그가 대가 없이 자유롭게 나갈 것이다. 3. 만약 그가 혼자 왔다면 나갈 때도 혼자 갈 것이요, 올 때 아내를 데리고 왔다면 아내도 그와 함께 나갈 것이다. 4. 만약 주인이 아내를 짝지어 주어 아내가 아들이나 딸을 낳았다면 그 여자와 자식들은 주인의 것이요, 그 남자만 나갈 것이다. 5. 그러나 그 종이 허심탄회하게 ‘내가 내 주인과 내 아내와 자식들을 사랑하니 나가고 싶지 않다’라고 하면 6. 그 주인은 그를 데리고 재판장에게 가야 할 것이다. 또한 문이나 문 기둥으로 데리고 가서 그 귀를 송곳으로 뚫어라. 그러면 그는 영원히 그 주인을 섬기게 될 것이다.	1. "Now these are the ordinances which you are to set before them.2. "If you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve for six years; but on the seventh he shall go out as a free man without payment.3. "If he comes alone, he shall go out alone; if he is the husband of a wife, then his wife shall go out with him.4. "If his master gives him a wife, and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall belong to her master, and he shall go out alone.5. "But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife and my children; I will not go out as a free man,'6. then his master shall bring him to God, then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him permanently.

then he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And 

his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and 

he shall serve him permanently.

종에 대한 규례가 예배에 대한 규례 이후에 바로 오는 이유는 무엇일까?

그것은 하나님이 가장 살피시는 자, 곧 약하고 가난한 자, 매인 자이기 때문이다. 

하나님의 시선이 있는 곳- 그 갇힌 자들을 자유케 하는 복음의 힘을 믿는다. 

그리고 나의 학업이 그 자유케 하는 힘을 얻기 원한다. 

그냥 탁상공론에서 마치고 마는 학업이 아니라, 어두움 가운데 빛을 더할 수 있고, 

기회가 없는 자들에게 기회를 제공하고, 

억압받는 자들을 자유케하고, 

꿈 꿀 수 없는 자들로 꿈 꾸게 하는 

그런 학문을 하는 자가 되고 싶다. 

하나님, 나의 이 소망함을 잘 아시는 주님, 

내게 소원함을 주시고 달려갈 힘을 주셨으니 

이 길의 마지막까지 주께서 함께 하소서. 

주의 길로 나아가게 하소서. 

울며 씨를 뿌리러 나가는 자는 기쁨으로 단을 거두리로다. 

이 긴 유학생활- 광야를 넘어 가나안으로 나아가게 하소서.
